Safeguarding

Last updated: September 2026

Our commitment

Everyone we support has the right to live free from abuse, neglect and harm. Safeguarding is at the heart of how NBH Care works: our carers are recruited carefully with the checks families would expect, trained to recognise signs of concern and supported to report anything that does not feel right, straight away.

What safeguarding means

Safeguarding means protecting an adult's right to live in safety. It covers physical, emotional and financial abuse, neglect, discrimination and any other harm. As a CQC registered provider we work within national safeguarding standards and cooperate fully with the local authority and other agencies whenever a concern is raised.

How we keep people safe

  • Careful recruitment, including references and enhanced DBS checks
  • Clear procedures our carers follow on every visit
  • Records kept at each visit so changes and concerns are noticed early
  • Open communication with families, with consent
  • Concerns reported promptly and acted on without delay

Raising a concern

If you are worried about the safety or wellbeing of someone we support, or of any adult at risk, please contact us straight away on +44 7464 760301 or at Enquiries@nbhcare.co.uk. You can also contact the North Northamptonshire adult safeguarding team through the local council.

If someone is in immediate danger, call 999.
